Halloween In Your Manufactured Home

Halloween is just around the corner. It's a great time to decorate your manufactured house in a fun way and to meet your neighbors. In my neighborhood growing up, Halloween was an event. All the kids on the street would dress up and go trick-or-treating. Then one house on the block would host a Halloween party with fun snacks and games for all the kids and adults.

This Halloween, your manufactured home could be the place to be with a little work and effort. Make a great memory for your kids and/or the kids in the neighborhood by doing some fun things at your house this year.

Pumpkins

Pumpkins are a great way to decorate your house for a fun and scary Halloween. Having a pumpkin carving party for your family and friends could really get everyone in the Halloween spirit. If you want, you could make it into a contest with prizes for the best pumpkin as well as scariest or funniest pumpkins. And yes, pumpkin carving can get messy. If that's not your thing, you could use markers or paint to draw on the pumpkins. Using black paint, you could make a haunted house on your pumpkin or white and yellow paint to make a pumpkin look like a giant candy corn.

DIY Decorations

Many families have Halloween decorations that have been passed down from generation to generation. But if you don't have any Halloween decorations or maybe you just want to change things up this year, there are many DIY ideas out there to make your manufactured home look exactly how you want it to for Halloween. Just do a quick google search for some great suggestions. You can be as extravagant or simple as you want to be. And a DIY Halloween decorating party is another way to have a fun time with your friends and family before we get to October 31.

Party On The Block

Like I said before, the highlight of Halloween for me was the big party after all the trick-or-treating was done. You don't have to provide a whole meal, but some fun Halloween themed snacks would be great. And don't forget some games for the kids and adults. Bobbing for apples is a Halloween classic as well as a mummy wrapping game with toilet paper and face painting. You can also have a costume contest. Don't forget a black cauldron and some dry ice to set the mood. You could start a fun Halloween tradition on your block for the kids and families for years and years.

Takeaway

Halloween should be a time of fun with your family and friends. You don't have to spend a lot of money to make great memories for years to come. But don't forget to have plenty candy on hand for the trick-or-treaters.
